BSNL employees are left with no other option, but to hit
back.
The next few months are going to be a
period of serious struggles in BSNL. The genuine demands of the Non-Executives,
including PLI are being rejected by the Management. The E-1 pay scale and the
Revised Recruitment Rules of the JTO, are already approved by the Management
Committee. However, the BSNL Board of Directors refuses to give approval to
both these issues, on the plea that the Company is running in loss. This
attitude of the Board of Directors cannot be accepted. On one side the
Management and the govt. are doing nothing to revive the financial condition of
the Company. The suggestions given by the Forum, in this respect, are thrown
into the dustbin. On the other side, the Deloittee Committee’s recommendations
and the move to merge BSNL & MTNL are threatening the very future of the
employees and the Company. Under these circumstances, the employees of BSNL are
left with no other option but to hit back. Yes comrades, we have to hit back
strongly.
